I havent posted in quite a while, mainly because i haven’t really been playing much. I have spent some time reading poker strategy books and other poker guides. Mainly focusing on limit holdem play and working on the art of continuation betting and reading an opponents hand.

I have only been playing 25cent/50cent limit even though i am probably bankrolled for $2/$4 play. By playing the smaller limits it should give me a chance to learn the game although it seems like 50% of the players call every bet and hope for the best. To anyone not playing limit it is very profitable as i find more limit fish then there is no limit fish.  I’m up $90 or so mainly from having pocket pairs called down to the river from hands such as ace-king and ace-queen.

When i first visited PokerPotz.Com i was taken back by it’s attractive design, it looked easy to navigate around the site and find information your looking for. I soon found myself on the strategy page and was amazed with how many poker articles the site contained. There No Limit Holdem Strategy page was full of articles for beginner, intermediate and advanced level poker players. All of which were very clearly labeled as to what level they catered for. The poker software article was a very interesting read and had me contemplating signing up for some of the software they advocate using.

Other useful articles were the; reverse implied odds , Playing A Maniac and Value Betting The River the site is sure to improve most players games as there are articles on many different situations all of which they provide a answer for.
